During our annual “Ask Us Anything” shows, we usually put out a call for ideas for out Exclusive Content show. And one of the most frequent requests is some sort of extension of prior episodes, covering newlly-released albums from bands that have been covered. Until now, it never really seemed to make sense. But Jeff got a bee in his bonnet about Spoon and we figured this would be the opportunity to try a “new” template for these show.
Behold! Spoon, Revisited! We concentrate on the band’s response to releasing one of the finest records of the 00s, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and the music released following early 2021, when our original episode was released. That means a special spotlight on the incredible Lucifer on the Sofa and the band’s two singles released in 2025, previewing an upcoming album.
Yes, you’ll still want to hear the original show. But this addendum helps crystalize the later years of Spoon and also covers territory not explored 5+ years ago.
